Monday Horror Franchise Rankings-Child's Play
Welcome back to another edition of HH365! Today we will rate and rank the Chucky Franchise. This one has some serious ups, downs, ups and then back downs! Let us start with the worst and continue until it gets better. Lets Go!
#8
Child's Play (2019). Just Why? I chose this picture for a specific reason. This dumb picture really captured my face when I sat through this film. Just like the Poltergeist remake, I think it would have been a solid picture if it was its own entity. It takes the Charles Lee Ray Character out of the equation and really just pits us against when technology goes bad. As a movie, I would have enjoyed it. As a Child's Play Remake, this is a straight up pass from me.
#7.
Seed Of Chucky (2004). With the release of Bride of Chucky in 1998, Child's Play took a more comedic turn with some blood spots. This is the direct sequel from that and just really feels pretty far from the original three films. This was a fun movie, but as a Horror movie, I could never really get behind it. Well, it turns out that dolls can make Transgender kids before it was cool. This introduces the Son of Chucky and Tiffany. It was a laugh a minute but like I said earlier, very different from the original formats. Let us continue to the next film on the list.
#6.
Bride Of Chucky (1998). There was a monumental shift with this film. This took Child's Play from decent Horror to Comedy Horror. It Introduced another character Charles Lee Ray's Girlfriend, Tiffany Valentine played by Jennifer Tilly. I enjoyed the introduction to more back story of Charles Lee Ray but they took it too far with the Comedy for my tastes. It was still a fun movie to watch but not real Horror. Let us continue to the next film.
#5.
Cult Of Chucky (2017). I have only seen this movie once. And had to look up what happened is how little it stuck with me since watching it. I do know that this followed directly after Curse of Chucky that brought Horror back to the franchise. This movie was pretty wild and had some great kills. It breaks the story wide open and adds more to the franchise. It was a bit confusing so make sure you pay attention to where the story takes you! Let us continue on! What is next?
#4.
Child's Play 3 (1991). Andy Goes To Military School! The third movie in the original trilogy takes Andy right into Military Academy and of course, his old friend Chucky found him. But, Andy is a little older and makes friends with a new target, Tyler. This had some classic Chucky moments and some really cool kills. Plus, since this is a Haunted Attraction website, the movie ends in an Attraction/Dark Ride to add some nostalgia. This was another fun film and I really enjoy re watching it. Let us get to the next film, we are almost done!
#3.
Curse Of Chucky (2013). This was a great new addition and a nice return back to Horror. Not only did this film return Chucky back to Scary, They also introduced one of my new favorite Horror Actresses, Fiona Dourif, Daughter of Brad Dourif, The Man who has voiced Chucky from the beginning. She alone put this movie in the Top 3. This movie had great thrills and kills and really brought the Child's Play Franchise back where it belongs. Let us continue.
#2.
Child's Play (1988). Wow! Second Place? Yes. I LOVE this movie. Very original and had great scares and a good time all around. The Legendary Brad Dourif as Charles Lee Ray and Chucky. This movie broke the mold of Horror and is still talked about like it just came out. This will always be a classic and some may find it weird being number 2, but you will see why in the next paragraph. Let us continue the journey.
#1.
Child's Play 2 (1990). This is our Award Winner. The original was able to test the waters, The sequel really gained ground on the Original by leaving everything on the table. I loved Brad Dourif in this film. This will always be my favorite Child's Play from the opening credits to the ending in the giant factory. Maybe its the Cinematography or something but this movie always excites me and I look forward to watching it again soon. It is in my top 50 Horror Movies of all time and it should be in yours.
That is the Child's Play Franchise Ranked according to HH365! We own none of the photos used so all credit goes to the company that created them and let us borrow them to show off their great work. We are pretty sure that we only have one more film franchise left. So if you have any great Ideas on what we can do on Mondays moving forward it would be greatly appreciated. Keep It Here To HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

FUN FACTS FRIDAY. A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2 FREDDY'S REVENGE
Welcome back to HH365 for Fun Facts Friday. Today we will learn some fun facts about in my opinion the Worst Nightmare movie in the franchise other then the remake. Let us get to the fun facts.
1. New Line Cinema originally refused to give Robert Englund a pay raise, and an extra was cast as Freddy at the start of the production. After two weeks of filming, Robert Shaye fixed what was almost the biggest mistake in New Line Cinemas life span and gave Robert the pay raise.
2. In the opening Dream Sequence, Robert Englund plays the bus driver that opens the door outside of make up.
3. Michael J Fox was considered for the role of Jesse Walsh. He has to back out due to scheduling with Back to The Future and Teen Wolf.
4. The only Nightmare film to have a Male Leading Actor.
5. It is not only my least favorite nightmare film, It is also Robert Englund'
6. It is the only film in the franchise where Freddy kills victims outside of their dreams.
7. Robert Rusler auditioned for the role of Grady on the last day of shooting Weird Science. Robert Downey Jr. drove him to the audition.
8. This is the only film in the series not to use Charles Bernstein's original theme or a variation of it.
9. Brad Pitt, John Stamos and Christian Slater all auditioned for the role of Jesse
10. Kim Myers was allegedly cast because of her resemblance to Meryl Streep.
Well, those are some interesting facts about a not so great film. That is all we have for you this week at HH365! Keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

Welcome back to the next installment of HH365! As you can see from the above picture that belongs solely to the HAA, we will list their 2019 Top Haunts for 2019. Children Acting In Haunted Attractions
Welcome back to another episode of HH365! Today we will take a look at an interesting conversation starting around Haunted Attractions, the usage of Children as Actors in Haunted Attractions. There are some interesting stances taken on this topic so let us take on a few we have seen come up.
1. "They are too young to be exposed to Haunts". A lot of this stance really depends on the child. There are many 5 to 10 year old children that, yes are too young to be inside of a Haunted Attraction. But all of that depends on the children themselves. Just like the world we live in today, children are the same. Some people see Haunts as disgusting displays of horror, where others live for them and cannot wait for every September. Children are the same. There are plenty of kids out there that live for the chance to scare the living hell out of people and love Horror Movies. They are usually the ones that ask to be an Actor as a Volunteer. They are rarely recruited to fit a scare. They are great tools in an attraction and we have seen many in and out of Attractions and every one we have spoken to say they love it and cannot wait to go back in.
2. "Acting in Haunts Will Damage Young Ones". Like mentioned before, this all depends on the child. And it really continues the conversation of Video Games as well. People fear and will always fear what they do not understand. From a personal stand point, I have loved Horror movies since growing up on them from the very young age of two. I have never killed anyone. I have a very normal being. Wouldn't I be messed up and crazy and on medication if all Horror Movies disturb the brains of young children? Haunted Attractions are basically walk through plays and the people that do not visit them will never understand that.
3. "Children have nothing to gain from volunteering in Haunted Attractions". False, False and False. Volunteering for children is a great start to responsibility. From the easiest que to follow from the training they will have when entering the business. It will help them start on the right foot when they have to listen to Supervisors at their jobs. It will also teach them to be less scared to do the things that they want to do. I cannot imagine a child actor in a Haunt being timid and reserved to the point of fear. Plus, Some of our Favorite Haunts we visit every year were created from people that were one time a kid who would help their Dad or Mom in the Home Haunt or even Haunted Attraction.
We understand how some would be reserve about letting Children Actors work in Haunts. But, we find a ton more Pros then Cons. As long as the Child enjoys it and can handle it, let them have the fun and learn skills along the way. Do not hold them back because your scared and do not understand.
That is all we have for you today. Make Sure You Keep It Here To HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

Monday Horror Movie Franchise Rankings-Insidious!
Welcome back to HH365 for Monday Horror Movie Franchise Rankings brought to you by HH365! Today we will take a dive into the world of Insidious. A great Horror franchise that had a lot of great movies and it was hard to rank, but we know we have to make the tough decisions so here we go! The number four movie in the Franchise.
#4.
Insidious Chapter 3. (2015). This was a fun and decently scary film. It is the story told by Elise before Insidious started. It follows a young lady that is trying her hardest to reach out to her deceased mother but finds her self in more trouble then she bargained for. This movie had decent scares and another outstanding job by Lin Shaye who plays Elise. It also contains a little more backround story about Elise and why she really hates communicating with the dead and the young woman who helped her get her priorities straight. This movie was a good entry into the franchise. Let us get to number 2.
#2.
Insidious (2011). It is hard to put into words of how much I loved this movie. It brought back the use of noises and creepy music to create scares. The story was outstanding and the cast was even better. The story starts as the Lambert family moved into a new home and their oldest child Dalton keeps getting drawn to the Attic. One day he falls into a coma that the doctors have no answers for and then all hell breaks lose into the family. This was a great movie and a great movie for the genre using all of the old and new tools to scare the hell out of you. It was very hard making this number 2 but I will explain going into number 1! Let us go to the number one spot in the franchise.
#1.
Insidious Chapter 2. (2013). Just an amazing film with so many awesome moments. Even better acting out of the already great cast. The story deepens to its fullest potential in this movie and really the scares never stop. Some of the best scenes I have seen in Horror and still scares the crap out of me when the "Women in black" is on screen. With some shades of The Amityville Horror and a Indiana Jones feel as they go looking for what is Haunting the family. It explains the "Further" a little more and really slams everything home. It was very close between this film and the original Insidius for the number one spot, but This one won outright due to the "Woman in black" killer type hunt. Then you get to watch the Father start hunting the family like Amityville. And it continued to use the sounds and scores to add scares. This movie will make you jump This movie will make you run and want some more!
That is all we have for you today at HH365! If you have not watched the Insidious series. You really need to! Keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!
#4.
Insidious The Last Key (2018). I was expecting so much more from this movie. It was a prequel about the Demonologist Elise who is the answer to all the problems in the other films. It was an interesting start to the series but the movie lacked some serious scares that the other three movies produced so well. The story takes place during Elise's childhood and the demons that always haunted her from the prison her dad worked at and she pieces together some history about her self. This movie could have been just as good as the others but really fell flat on its head. Let us get to number three!

Logos in Haunted Attractions
Welcome back to another edition of HH365! Today we will take another look at the business side of Haunted Attractions. Mainly a return to marketing as we take a look at Logos of Haunted Attractions. The Haunt Logo is the way people recognize your Haunt.
In the day of Social Media especially your Logo is everything! It is how they can distinguish your business from the rest and really show off your brand. Logos are a way of the world now and have been for some time. A good logo will help drive business and followers on Social Media outlets.
Logos can even be free to create if you know your way around some software. For us, when we wanted to bring in a pro like logo, we looked for our friends and family and were able to get this made. Sure, some companies can be pricey growing your logo but there are plenty of outlets out there for even the smaller Haunts.
The Logo sets your brand away from the rest, especially when trying to grow the social Media reach which is so important for year round access to your customers. A big social media base will make your customers foaming at the mouth to get back to your attraction. We see a ton of attractions post some mystery and facts about what they are working on in the off season weekly. This just grows excitement through out the year. The logo helps show your Haunt from a distance. If you get that logo known, you will be recognizable at a glance.
Get your logo going now, Big or small it will make a world of difference. And keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season.

Fun Facts Friday from HH365! Scream
Welcome back to HH365 for Fun Facts Friday! A segment about all the fun facts about your favorite Horror Movies. This week we will cover Scream (1996). Let us get to the fun!
#1. The Original title of the film was "Scary Movie".
#2. As we covered in Movies Vs Real Life, Scream was partially inspired by the "Gainsville Ripper Murders" in the 1990's at a college. It was also partially inspired by 1978's Halloween.
#3. Williamson's Script which only took him a weekend to write went into a gigantic bidding war. He then accepted Dimension's offer of $400,000 dollars. That is a nice weekend of work!
#4. The Weinstein brothers initially wanted either George Romero or Sam Raimi for the Director seat but both turned it down. Thankfully because it went to one of my hero's Wes Craven.
#5. The mask Ghostface wore was found while Wes was location scouting and it was in one of the houses they were scouting.
#6. Linda Blair has a Cameo as one of the news reporters outside of the school after the first murders.
#7. Wes Craven plays the Janitor "Fred", who is wearing a Kruger type fedora and sweater.
#8. The final scene at "Stu's" house took 27 straight nights to film. The Cast called it "The Longest Night In History".
#9. Drew Barrymore was supposed to play the role of Sydney Prescott, but was forced to a smaller role.
#10. Drew Barrymore asked that her wig be modeled after Michelle Pfeffer's Hair in "Scarface".

Haunted Attraction Profit and Loss Part 5. Keeping Attention In The Offseason
Welcome back to HH365! Today we will return to Haunted Attraction Profit and Loss. Today we will look into Keeping the Attention of your fans and newcomers during the off season and what we have seen to be successful.
Haunt Season is easily one of the shortest season to capitalized on. Trust us we know! We hate how short the season is. But what that means for Haunted Attraction is that the work to gather crowds starts way before opening day! They need fuel a fire before people know about the fire! We have seen a couple techniques we found pretty interesting.
#1. Off Season openings. Yes, this one can be tough. It could be hard to lock down actors and actually have the revenue to open in the off season. But it is well worth the try. We have seen quite a few pop up for Christmas, Valentines Day or even April into May. This will bring your haunt back into everyone's mind when they see that you are open for an odd event. You can flood Social Media and Emails with the fact that your open! We understand not every Haunt is capable of doing this. But maybe, offer a behind the scenes look once a month for a small fee. Show off a little of what you have been working on so hard for the past months but do not give up the whole show. Take an hour a month and walk some folks through your Haunted Attraction for a smaller Fee during the day. That will give you a 80% chance they will be back to see the show full on in September. Plus, it gives you a chance to recruit. People that interested in behind the scenes tours are really into this Business and you may find some gems.

Well, that wraps up this edition of Haunted Attraction Profit and Loss-Keeping Attention in the Off Season! We have a few more of these left so keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season.

Haunted Attraction Profit and Loss Part 3. Merchandising.
Welcome back to another installment of Haunted Attraction Profit and Loss from HH365! Today we will take a dive into Merchandising.
Merchandising can either have zero effect on your Haunt or can have you swimming in extra funds to keep building your Attraction for the public. The key is to finding out what the public wants and or needs for when they are at your Haunt. Judging the public is tough at times but in the day of Social Media, it has become easier to get a pulse with surveys and things on your Social Media pages. Send out a few surveys to see what you should carry, will it work 100% of the time? No, but what really really does when you look at it.
Let us take a look into what we already know will sell in your Haunted Attraction.
#1. Hoodies! Towards the end of season, we all know that it can get damn chilly on those hayrides and when waiting in line. If you are not selling hoodies, you may as well just throw money into the fire pit. There is a great profit margin in the sale of hoodies. Hoodies retail from anywhere from 30 dollars to 60 dollars depending on the make of the hoodie. With the printing process now and how easy it is to get supplies of printed hoodies, there is zero reason not increase your volume of sales especially when the day starts off warm and night hits, there will be hundreds of people that will start to get cold and head into your shop to get warm. Why not sell them warmth while also marketing your brand?
#2. T shirts. Who does not have a bunch of T shirts from places they have been? People collect T shirts like baseball cards in the 1980's and since these are cheaper to produce your profit margin will be much higher creating an injection of profit into your builds and or animatornics. we cannot stress enough that sure there is a starting price to start selling merchandise, but you will recoup that 10 if not 100 fold by the end of the season. We suggest you produce two types of t shirts and hoodies. One with the year and one without. Why do you ask? Because the ones without the date, any that are not sold, you can sell next year and re coup any lose earnings from the sales of the previous year. The dated ones can also go on Ebay, there are people that buy almost anything and I guarantee you sell a few to die hard fans that may have missed your location this year.
#3.This last point really has to do with what type of Haunt you have. Some Haunts are more family friendly then others. If you cater more to the family of four then the usual Haunt nut this one is for you. Kids. As a Father of two crazy boys my self I can see things a little differently then the Haunt Freak side of me. A couple of new ideas I have are kind of different. Some kids are not ready for Haunted Attractions, the age always depends on the child. So apart from food and gift options maybe have a "daycare". Somewhere that the kids can be dropped to play video games or watch movies on Netflix on a projector. Something where the parents can run and get scared but you can still make a profit on the little ones. A few console systems and a projector really would not cost much especially if your charging per kid. Every parent I know with little ones would take advantage of this ten fold. You get more guests into your Haunt and make more money doing it. You need three or four volunteers or staff and set up an area for kids to do kid things with a Halloween theme. You could charge anywhere from 10 to 30 bucks per child and the parents will be out in the park spending more money or peeing their pants in your Attractions. Do not be afraid to cater to kids and watch your build fund grow.
That is what we have for Merchandising today at HH365. There are many more topics to cover and we hope you keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

Monday Horror Movie Franchise Rankings. The Complete Halloween Franchise
Welcome back to another Monday Horror Movie Franchise Rankings by HH365! Today we will be ranking the Halloween series and this will be a very long article as there are so many movies. I will be doing my best to ensure I do not go on too long on any particular movie to keep the reading level a little lower then it could be. But without further ado, here is our rankings of the Halloween movies. There are 11 movies in the Franchise right now, so we will begin with the worst first.
#11
Halloween III Season of the Witch (1982). This movie is easily the worst movie of the franchise because it does not contain the Star of the Franchise. Instead they target a crazy Halloween mask manufacture that has a bunch of masks ready to explode when a certain product shows up on screen. Terrible. They really learned their lesson quickly. The movie does have an odd cult classic following. Lets move on to number 10.
#10.
Yes, You read that correctly, the latest Halloween movie is ranked #10 all time. This movie irritated me to no end. A. Keep your political agenda out of my Horror Movies, no on cares. It was not needed. B. Why did they make Laurie this survivalist. If you wanted to remake the sequel and forget the entire story line in place, Fine. But why is she this super killer now. It would have been a fuck ton scarier if she was just a normal housewife and Myers showed up to destroy her. The preparedness ruined the fear factor. Who cares if she is ready for him to come back and then he comes back. This was just a waste of what could have been a great Halloween addition. Complete fumble by all parties. I will just go to number 9.
#9.
Halloween 5 The Revenge of Michael Myers. This movie did not do good. It was a waste of Danielle Harris as she was a great kid actor in 4 but then they decided to make her a mute through out most of the movie. Then do not get me started on the horrible acting out of the girl who played Tina. A totally not needed character and completely overacted. The movie had some memorable kills and a great job by Dr. Loomis but it was not enough to save this flick. Let us get to number 8.
#8.
Halloween 4, The Return Of Michael Myers. This movie was a fun ride. Michael Myers was lethal, Danielle Harris starred heavily as a child actor and the rest of the actors were not bad either. It also introduced that Danielle Harris' Character Jamie Lloyd is actually Laurie Strode's Daughter making her Michael Myers Niece. This was a cool twist to the story line and made it a little more interesting. Let us get to number 7.
#7.
Halloween Resurrection. Yes, you read that correctly. This movie gets a ton of hate just because Busta Rhymes was in it. Who cares. This movie was a lot of fun and Myers was undeniably a killing machine in this movie. Plus, with the internet feature it made it a much different movie then we are used to. Also, the first part of this film actually wraps up the Laurie Strode timeline and has a great opening sequence. It was close for #7 between This film and Halloween 4 but this one was more fun in my opinion. Let us get to number 6.
#6
Halloween II (Rob Zombie) (2009) I am so torn on this movie. Michael Myers and Laurie Strode were fantastic but the entire movie really made no sense with the white horse and Myers' Mother in all white. It was a really good movie up until then. I always think this movie should be lower on the list but then I think about the Annie kill and I know this is right where it belongs. As much as the movie makes my head hurt with the weird white horse images, the kills are second to none. Let us move on to number 5.
#5.
Halloween II (1981).This movie gets a lot of hate too, which I do not understand. This movie is a direct sequel to the original which mainly takes place in the hospital right after Laurie and her friends are terrorized. Great Acting, Great scenes and great kills make this a must watch. It also starts the Sister story line between Laurie and Michael which I enjoyed through the franchise. From the hot tub kill to the giant explosion at the end. Great movie.

Halloween The Curse Of Michael Myers. This was a fun movie that gets a ton of hate but I loved everything about this movie. An attempt was made to create a back story of what possesses Michael Myers to do what he does. It takes place in a different kind of Haddonfield with Halloween being cancelled finally after so many years of pain and suffrage. That is until the hipster college kids take a stand and want to open it back up so everyone can enjoy Halloween again. Well, as we know, Myers has a lot to say about that with his knife! Lets get to number 3.
#3.
Halloween H20 (1998). What a showdown. f the best scenes shot in this franchise is when Jamie Lee Curtis sees the Shape through the window for the first time in twenty years. Easily one of my favorite scenes in Horror in my lifetime. The story plays out that Laurie Strode went into hiding and had a son. They are both hiding in an upscale private school very secluded and Laurie is the Head Master. It was a fun movie that really used that 90's Horror charm. Let us continue on to number 2.
#2.
Halloween (1978). What? The original is number two? Yes, Yes it is here at HH365! We will get into that when we show off the number one film. There is not much to say about this film that a ton of people have already said. The movie is Iconic. It is one of the earliest Slasher films of our time and will continue to hold up no matter how old it gets. Halloween and that score will live on forever. Let us start our explaining and go to number 1.
#1.
Halloween (2007). This movie was a Masterpiece in my eyes. From beginning to end, I believe this is what Halloween should have always been. There is backstory, there is growing into "The Shape". There is reasons behind the madness. All captured beautifully into one film. The acting was out of this world and the cast was cast perfectly. This is a full on head rush of a Horror Movie. From beginning to end you are the edge of your seat watching the best kills in Franchise History. The Gore, The grittiness. I Love This Film and it will always beat out the original in my eyes.
Well, that is our rundown of the Halloween Franchise. We hope you enjoyed our dive into the Halloween Franchise! Make sure you keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

Fun Facts Friday, Child's Play (1988)
Welcome back to another episode of Fun Facts Friday at HH365! Today we will be taking a look into facts around the original Child's Play. Let us get to the fun!
1. Chucky's full name was a combination of three well known murderers. Charles Lee Ray. It was created from Charles Manson, Lee Harvey Oswald and James Earl Ray.
2. Child's Play original script had nothing to do with Charles Lee Ray or the Lakeshore Strangler. Chucky was more of an embodiment of Andy's Rage. I am really glad they went with the story they did. It was also called "Blood Brothers".
3. In the scene where Maggie is babysitting Andy (Alex Vincent). Maggie is sitting on the couch and Chucky goes running passed her. There was no special effects, That was Alex's little Sister dressed as Chucky running passed.
4. Don Mancini was inspired of the story Child's Play with the Cabbage Patch Kids Craze of the 1980's. He thought it would be good to write a satire about the marketing done to drive kids mad for these dolls.
5. Don Mancini was never a huge fan of the Voodoo plot line. Writer John Lafia wanted to use the story line of an inmate of Death Row transfer his spirit to a Good Guy doll when being executed.
6. The Animatronics used in Chucky were cutting edge for its time but never really used before. It took 11 men to control Chucky.
7. Some Scenes were not a doll or animatronics but actor Ed Gale. They would make scenes where everything in the back round was 30% bigger to help with the scale of Chucky.
8. Brad Dourif was almost not the voice of Chucky that we all know and love. After the success of The Exorcist and knowing that the demon played was that of a woman's voice. They thought about going with a woman's voice with a sound edit like a doll with a chip in it back in the 1980's. Another great decision that we are glad they did not make.
9. Chucky had his own theme song that did not make it into the film! I kind of want to hear this.
10. Tom Holland was almost not the director. David Kirschner who directed the Exorcist and Irvin Kershner was also reached out to about the Director seat of Child's Play.
Well, those are our ten fun facts about Child's Play (1980). Keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

Haunted Attraction Profit and Loss Part 4. Social Media
Well, Well, Well, the yellow pumpkin throwing money around is back which means it is time for another Haunted Attraction Profit and Loss segment. Today we will be taking a dive into Social Media and what it can do for your Haunt! Let us get started!
Social Media has really become a way of life in today's world. Every spends way too much time on it and it has been an easy way to reach out to people you don't see that often. Also, it allows you to keep your brand in peoples minds all year round. Let us look at some tactics that will really bring the people to your ticket booths this season!
#1. One of the best Social Media tactics I have seen as of late has been to produce weekly behind the scenes video of new Attractions and or things to do at your Haunt without giving it away. A few Haunts are posting weekly on their Facebook page with sneak peeks and not giving away too much information. This will keep the public hungry and interested even when we are so far removed from Haunt season. Using the tease will truly bait them into your ticket lines this fall.
#2. This is a continuation of the Advertisement thread earlier posted. This is becoming one of the best ways to advertise your Haunt. Post videos weekly. These can or cannot be professionally done. If you have a few videos from last season go a head and post them weekly, have it show up in your fans feed and they will share it. Have surveys weekly. See what the fans of your Attraction have to say and do not wait for the season to gather this Intel. You can fix what some people do not like now so why wait. Always Gather Intel! Even if you are satisfied with what your Haunt is producing, you can always grow. Use Social Media to stay in the minds of your fans and grow to reach other fans. This does not always have to be about your Haunt. Some Haunts are even having Horror Movie posts about what their favorite Horror Movie is and so on, just keep the public invested so when fall comes by, you are their first stop.
#3. Showcase your talent! Your make up artist kill it every night during the season. I am sure their phones are loaded with tons of pictures from last season. Start an Instagram showcasing your crews talent. Feel free to give them the credit. It will show them they are valuable. And it is last years make up so you are giving up nothing about the upcoming season. Make up artist pictures are huge right now on Instagram. Take advantage, show love to your staff and always include your brand in the posts. This is a no brained win win.
#4. The biggest rule for Social Media would be during the season. Do not let associates post pictures of your Haunt or at least what you want to leave a surprise for all the guests. Have them wait until November to start posting everything they want to post. The last thing you want to do is have the public already see what is coming from Workers or Associates posting pictures in their private posts. we saw this a lot last year from Haunts around the Country. You Own The Rights to your Haunt, So do not allow posts In Season. Save it for more Social Media Fuel in the off season.
That really is just a start and some quick easy pointers for social media usage in the Haunted attraction Community. Make sure yhou keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

Haunted Attraction Profit and Loss Part 3. Advertising.
The pumpkin tossing the cash is back! That's Right! Another episode on Haunted Attraction Profit and Loss Part 3. Advertising. Lets get to it!
Advertising. Everyone knows what it is, but not everyone can do it Successfully. Advertising can very much become like throwing money in a pit of nothing and hope it grows. There are so many different ways to Advertise that it will be tough to fit it in this post. but, let us start with a few and see where we go from here.
TV spots. The most expensive way to Advertise. But in today's world, it may not be the best way anymore. The world is turning into a Streaming hub. Netflix, Amazon and so on. Most of the streaming today has zero commercials. Any commercials you spend money on for local or national TV now have a 70% chance of not even being seen. Many places have started making their own videos and doing a sponsored hit on YouTube and or Facebook. This will increase your chances on viewership.
Pamphlets. Believe it or not. A lot can be achieved through the pamphlets. If you can make the front page of the book eye popping and eye catching, people will grab it. It does not hurt to also add a coupon or two and really talk about your Haunt. This will gain admission at the door. Also, add a coupon for food, escape rooms, ax throwing or anything else your attraction offers. This tactic will make people hold on to the pamphlet and keep it in their mind for the upcoming Haunt Season.
Social Media. The power of Social Media is an extreme one in today's climate. We will have a separate part of Profit and Loss for this subject so keep tuned.
Word of mouth. Yes, Unbelievably Guerrilla Marketing works. Get out and talk to other businesses. Cross promotions can be huge! It does not have to be with another Attraction. Even though cross marketing can work do not limit it to the Halloween business at hand. Check out local food shops and other small owned businesses. Cross Advertising will benefit your Haunt and their business. Offer coupons or advertising in each others location. It will grow the word of mouth and both businesses win. It does not hurt to take to the road and just talk. It costs nothing more then time.
That is our start at Advertising. Keep it here to HH365 for more! HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season.
Advertising. Everyone knows what it is, but not everyone can do it Successfully. Advertising can very much become like throwing money in a pit of nothing and hope it grows. There are so many different ways to Advertise that it will be tough to fit it in this post. but, let us start with a few and see where we go from here.

Monday Horror Movie Franchise Rankings. Poltergeist!
Welcome back to another installment of Horror Movie Franchise Rankings at HH365! Today we will rank the Poltergeist Franchise. Easily one of my favorite Horror films of all time. Let us get to the rankings.
#4
Poltergeist (2015) This movie....Where do I begin..OH I KNOW, DO NOT CHANGE HER NAME FROM CAROL ANNE!!!!!! WHY?????? HOW? Alright, I am done with my disgust for this film. This was not a terrible movie if it was not a remake of Poltergeist. The story was fun and the effects were good. Acting was up to most Horror Movies but as a remake, this falls as low as the Nightmare remake. Just why do you change her name. I don't know.
#3
Poltergeist III (1988). This was a different entry into the Franchise. It kept the story line of Carol Anne vs Reverend Henry Kane. The biggest difference is Carol Anne is no longer staying with her parents. She is with her Aunt in a state of the art High Rise Building and has to use Tangia in the fight against Kane. This was a fun movie. I did not hate this film but the first two were easily better.
#2
Poltergeist II The Other Side. (1986) The direct sequel to the original Poltergeist. "They're Back"! This time we find out more information about Carol Anne and a little more of a backstory of why the Demons have attached them selves to her. I enjoyed this film just about as much as the first one but horrible graphics placed it at number two for the ranking. The ending where they are flying through the afterlife just really did not help the film after the great job the original did with special effects. So, we are confident that Poltergeist II belongs at number two for the countdown. Let us get to number 1.

Poltergeist (1982) One of my favorite movies of all time and not just Horror. This movie was close to my introduction to Horror movies. One of my earliest memories is watching a recorded copy on VHS in my living room when I was little so this movie will always hold a special place. Poltergeist as many of you already know is what happens when you build your houses on Burial sites. The Demons come through your TV and attack your adorable blonde haired Daughter. Well, in some cases we guess. If you have no seen Poltergeist yet, click the x at the top of your screen and watch it now.
That is all we have for you on our Monday Horror Movie Franchise Ranking!

Halloween Horror Nights Wish List From John
Welcome back everyone to HH365! Today we have a column from John the HHN Correspondent here at HH365! We designed a new Wish List for the 2020 HHN Season! Let us get to the segment.
Hey Guys! Today I will be talking about our HHN Wish Lists and The Anniversary of HHN as it comes to number 30! 30 Strong years of horror! This is the start of a new era of HHN as it enters its Thirtieth Season of being one of the best Haunted Attractions in America. We are sure to see the return of our favorite past Icons, Houses and Shows for the 30 year mark! Now let us get to the Wish List!
Houses-
30 Years of Fear, These Anniversary houses usually bring back a lot of the past original concept houses that we have loved over the years. We hope to see a great few out of number 30!
A Best Of Nightmare On Elm Street House. It has been a good five years since Mr. Kruger has thrilled us at HHN Orlando and that was a mixed house due to the fact that it was Freddy VS Jason. We would love to see a house of just Freddy and all of his finest kills and dreamscapes!
Halloween and Halloween Kills. This house would be perfect for HHN 30 as Halloween Kills will be released right around the time of HHN 30 and it would easily become one of the most popular houses and really promote the movie. Plus, how can you go wrong with anything Michael Myers.
Poltergeist Franchise. The Poltergeist House was one of my favorites of HHN. I think it would be a ton better with the addition of Poltergeist II and Poltergeist III like they did with the couple seasons of American Horror Story.
Stranger Things. Everyone loves Stranger Things and the popularity and cult following is just as strong as ever. With season 3 coming out and Season 4 in filming due to be released again during HHN 30, I think we can easily use another Stranger Things house.
We also want the Bill and Ted show to come back. That show was a fan favorite since the beginning of HHN and we would love to see a return for 2020.
HHN 30 will have a massive ten houses this season. It is hard to create a wish list for their Original Concept Houses but we look forward to see what HHN 30 has!
That is the beginning of our HH30 Coverage. What would you like to see for this big anniversary? Feel free to reach out and let us know!

Fun Facts Friday. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
Welcome back to another Fun Facts Friday at Halloweenhaunts365.com. This Friday we will be bringing you 10 fun facts about the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This movie will always hold a special place in history as it was very close to the first of its kind. Let us get to the facts!
1. There are many inspirations behind this film. The most common is the Ed Gein story. The Wisconsin murderer who made clothes and other things out of his victim's skin. Another one was when Tobe Hooper had to sit in line waiting on Christmas Shopping and saw a stack of Chainsaws, He envisioned how to get to the front of the line real quick.
2. Leatherface is also inspired by a Doctor Toby Hooper knew. He told Tobe a story where when he was in Med School, they were using cadavers in class and after hours he snuck into the Morgue to make a Halloween mask using the Cadavers faces. That is why Leatherface has his skin mask.
3. The original script was called "Headcheese". Then it was later changed to "Leatherface". It was not until a week before shooting was set to begin that they changed the title to "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre".
4. The Narrator of the opening scenes was none other then a young John Larroquette.
5. Even though the teeth were removed for some shots. The Chainsaw used was 100% real.
6. It has an alleged connection to "The Mafia". The company that bought the distribution rights to the film was said to be owned by Joe and Lou Peranio who were members of the Colombo crime family.
7. You can have lunch at Leatherface's house. The property where the filming was shot was actually turned into a Diner where you can actually check out a lot of cool memorabilia from the film.
8. Ed Neil, The hitchhiker in the beginning of the film, would actually go to showings in theaters and wait for his scene to come on and then tap and unexpected patron on the shoulder and scare them to hell.
9. The scene where Sally's finger was cut to feed Grandpa took so many takes and so many failed special effect takes that Gunner Hansen took off the protective tape from the knife and cut the actress for real when no one was looking. Gunnar said that they were at 27 hours for that scene alone straight and he got frustrated and wanted to get it done. So Sally is bleeding for real in this scene.
10. The lack of on screen blood was for a reason. You would think with Chainsaw murders and a Cannibalistic family the film would have ton of red liquid. Nope, Hooper wanted to try for a PG rating to get to more viewers so there is really only a few ounces of real and fake blood present. Which really sucks because it got rated R and we could have seen some crazy gore coming out of the mind of Tobe Hooper.

Haunted Attraction Profit and Loss Part 2. Tickets!
Welcome back to another installment of HH365's guide to Profit and Loss in your Haunted Attractions. Today we will take a peek at your ticket sales and all that is included and how to maximize your profits using a few neat tricks.
There are a couple tricks to the trade when it comes to tickets and pricing. What is the correct price to charge for admission. One tool I have always used was check out the competition. Look for a few Haunts in your area and see what they charge and for what? What kind of show do they bring to the table? Take an honest assessment of your show and see if it lines up with theirs. You obviously want to see if your show holds up to the price of admission. View five to ten Haunted Attractions in your area. Take the Top five prices for the show closest to yours and divide by five to come out with an average and adjust from there. They may have a similar show but their expenses will be different. You need to find the happy medium between Repeat customers and expenses.
Another huge thing to look at is what are you actually selling with the tickets? Sure many Haunts have the general admission price which should cover expenses with a decent profit margin but we also need to look outside of the box on this one. What else can we do to maximize profits? A lot of Haunts also have VIP tickets that will get guests to the front of the line and have a bigger Profit Margin then the General and really have no additional expenses except to manufacture a new line. We have also seen a third kind start up recently. It is more like a backstage pass. This will require some more expense to offer but will generally be cheap to manufacture. This will increase the profit margin big time. What we have seen this include is a behind the scenes look at the Haunt during the day. Then VIP access to the show at night. It may not sell out every night but even if you get one or two a night you are open, its purely profit. It would be essential to have a guide for the day as we know Owners and Builders have enough to do during a day you are going live but all it would cost you would be the Tour Guide who is already on staff and looking for a couple more hours.
This may seem silly, but what does your ticket look like? People are a very Visual Creature. If you are charging fifty dollars we want a nice ticket to go with it. I know it sounds crazy but studies show its true. HH365 being Horror and Haunt freaks have kept every ticket we have been issued from every Haunt we have attended. Nobody wants to pay top dollar and receive a raffle ticket or coin for entry.
That was our information on Tickets and what they mean for your Haunt, Keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

Haunted Attractions Profit and Loss Part 1. Hiring
Welcome back to HH365! Today we will throw out some tips to help with the business side of Haunted Attractions. The big names are already clued in but these tips will mainly help the up and coming Haunts or new Haunts starting in 2020 to get off on the right foot.
I have spent numerous years in Business Management and ran my far share of Businesses. I have learned from some of the best minds in the field and have learned how to translate it to the Haunt world because at the end of the day. They are businesses. Let us get started.
Every Dollar Counts. Whether it is a dollar coming in or a dollar going out, how you reflect on incoming and outgoing matters to the highest priority. Hiring believe it or not is one of the biggest way to impact your final numbers. If you hire the correct person every time you will be printing money. The decisions you make while hiring is just as important as rebuilding a part of your attraction.
Hiring the right person will increase your profit. From the ticket booth to the snack stand to the face of your Haunt, the goal should always be to make the right hire the first time. It is the same thing with Volunteers. Sure, Volunteers means that they want to be there, but you can also have the wrong Volunteer. That can drive business out of your door that you will not see again.
In order to hire the correct individual, it all lies in the interview process. Use your gut during the interview. If you feel even the slightest bit of doubt. Do not pull the trigger. You can always go for a second interview to see if the feeling subsides or if it comes back again. Hiring the wrong individual will always always end badly. I have learned this time and time again.
Mistakes will happen and you will be fooled to pull the trigger on the wrong candidate. It is life. It will always happen. The key to fixing the mistake is to hit it head on. Make sure you have proper tactics in place to ensure you can do what you can to have them exit. Just like any business you need to gauge their performance on the job. Like any other business you will need to document any short comings and try and help them reach their potential. The use of daily or weekly progress reports can really help you out to make the best of it. You can rate how individuals perform on a night to night basis because Haunt season is so short. Create these mission plans around what associate you are trying to help or help out the door. For example: An associate is working the ticket booth but constantly on his phone. It is holding back your lines and causing customers to complain from a line that is not needed at an Haunted Attraction. This will let you rate his or her performance for the evening. And just the associate grabbing his phone here and there will cost you money in the long run.
Well this was the first installment of Profit and Loss at HH365! Keep it here at HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!
